Los Mas Valientes - Latin Jazz

"Los Mas Valientes...

... is a Latin jazz band that looks and sounds like the best of New York City. Like the city, this live and lively performance is brimming with spirit and joy, humor and wit, passion and life..."  Rooted in nearly 30 years of bold, boundary-pushing performances, the band brings a vibrant mix of passion, and energy to every stage they hit. Their sound draws on deep traditions from across Latin America and the Caribbean while constantly reinventing what Latin jazz can be.

Individually, the members of this powerhouse ensemble have spent decades forging a wealth of skill and experience across an array of genres: straight-ahead jazz, classical music, ska, punk, Americana, merengue, cumbia, klezmer, Haitian rhythms, Irish music, Brazilian music, and more. The band has generational variety as well -- from seasoned veterans to fresh Gen Z talent, the blend of old and new creates a sound that’s both timeless and cutting-edge.

The band's unique instrumental lineup sets them apart: flute, alto sax/clarinet double, trombone/euphonium double, two violins, viola, bass, keyboard, congas, timbales, drum set, and a full array of Latin percussion. Whether performing as an intimate trio or a full 11-piece powerhouse, Los Mas Valientes tailors their sound to fit the venue, delivering high-octane performances that leave audiences buzzing.

With five critically acclaimed albums and a dedicated following around the world—airplay in the U.S., Canada, Colombia, Peru, Japan, Europe, and the UK—Los Mas Valientes have made a name for themselves at jazz and Latin music festivals like Martha’s Vineyard Jazz & Blues Summerfest, SteelStacks Sabor! Latin Music Festival, and The Johnny Pacheco Latin Music and Jazz Festival. Their latest album dropped in late 2022, and they’re already cooking up something special for their 30th anniversary in 2025.

Ready to bring the party, the soul, and the future of Latin jazz? Los Mas Valientes is the band to watch.
